First, contact us via our online form or directly by email/telephone and provide us with the most important information about the vehicle.

-> Submit vehicle

Step 1:

Fill out our consignment form and tell us the most important details about your vehicle. We will contact you to discuss the terms of consignment.

Step 2:

Take photos of your vehicle from different angles against a suitable background (see form guide for images). Alternatively, you can have professional photos taken in our photo studio. There is a flat fee of CHF 350.00 for this service.

Step 3:

Once we have received your documents, we will check the suitability of your vehicle for our live auction and discuss the asking price. We will then draw up an auction agreement with you.

Step 4:

Vehicles can be delivered to Emil Frey Classics AG - Classic Centre Switzerland, Bahnhofplatz 2, 5745 Safenwil, at the earliest 2 weeks and at the latest 1 week before the auction. We will carry out a points check on site to ensure the successful marketing of your vehicle. You will then receive feedback from us.

Step 5:

After the auction, we will transfer the hammer price minus a delivery fee of 2% to your account. If your vehicle is not auctioned, we will charge a delivery fee of 2% of the minimum price (minimum CHF 500.00). The invoice must be paid at least four days before you collect your vehicle in Safenwil.

Our team will accompany you throughout the entire process to ensure that your vehicle is presented in the best possible light and successfully auctioned.

Condition assessment – Our commitment to quality and transparency

Trust, competence and transparency are our top priorities – especially when it comes to evaluating vehicles offered for auction. Every vehicle offered on our platform is carefully inspected by our experienced experts according to clearly defined standards. The condition assessment is based on objective, verifiable criteria – for greater security and clarity when buying and selling.

Our classification is based on established evaluation standards and enables both buyers and sellers to realistically assess the actual condition of a vehicle:

Condition 1 – Very good

Vehicles in this condition are technically and visually flawless. They have been completely and professionally restored, as evidenced by comprehensive photographic documentation. These are original classic cars with all essential components in their original condition. This top rating is rarely justified – we only award a 1+ if the vehicle is even better than its original condition (e.g. due to additional corrosion protection measures).

Condition 2 – Good

A vehicle in condition 2 has no significant defects. These are often professionally restored vehicles that have been used with care. Slight signs of wear, such as small paint chips or wear on the pedals, are permissible. Some non-original parts are also acceptable, provided they are replaceable. However, there must be no corrosion.

Condition 3 – Used

These vehicles are roadworthy and safe, but show age-related wear and tear and minor defects. Slight rust is permissible, but not on load-bearing parts. This condition is typical for unrestored but well-maintained classics with charm and history.

Condition 4 – Worn

In this condition, the vehicle is no longer roadworthy but can still be driven. It shows major defects, possibly including rust-through. The engine does not have to be running but must be able to turn over. All essential parts are present for a professional restoration. Such vehicles are restoration projects with potential.

Condition 5 – Significant defects

Here we are talking about vehicles whose restoration involves considerable effort. Whether restoration is worthwhile depends heavily on the model, the condition of the body and frame, and the availability of spare parts. While a historic Jaguar, for example, can still be attractive in this condition, the economic viability of everyday classics often needs to be critically examined.

Our expertise is your advantage.

Our structured condition assessment creates a reliable basis for fair auctions – for both buyers and sellers. Trust in our experience and our passion for classic vehicles.
